major airport, Leonardo da Vinci at Fiumicino, which has a range of

Rome Climate and Dates
Spring (March-May) and Autumn (September-November) are probably the
best times for a conference in Rome, when the weather is warm, but
not uncomfortably so. Between June and early September the city can
become extremely hot, and you will need to be assured of fully
air-conditioned facilities. Many businesses in the city close in
August - if this is the preferred date for your conference, it will
be advisable to guarantee all services in advance. Another option is
to consider the surrounding area, where smaller events can be hosted
in some of Lazio's attractive and historic hilltowns, which are a
short drive from Rome but enjoy a fresher climate.
