SWORN or CERTIFIED TRANSLATIONS are translations that are validated before a court, a Justice of the Peace or a notary, through the application of an appropriate STATEMENT ON OATH. The translation is validated by the translator swearing that the document conforms with the source document attached to it.

This type of service is obligatory for the presentation of official documents to the authorities of countries in which the language of the source document is not officially spoken, or to agencies and institutions of those countries. Generally, the service of certification is carried out on:

•   administrative documents, such as residence and marriage certificates, statements etc., private documents such as work certificates, references, contracts etc. and/or academic documents, including diplomas, testimonials, qualifications etc.;
•  notarial, contractual and judicial documents.

The sworn document will be made up of the source document (the original, certified or uncertified copy, depending on your requirements), the translation and the appropriate Statement on Oath. Every 100 lines of the translation, an official 14,62 euro stamp will be applied, and a registration number issued by the Clerk of the Court will be assigned to the document.
